Penang, MY – The Rondo Production is pleased to announce that the RondoFest Music Festival 2021 will be held from 9 to 12 June 2021. The digital music festival aims to offer a comprehensive learning experience to all woodwinds and brass students, as well as educators. At the same time, the festival has designed various informative workshops and masterclasses for the public, to increase the level of awareness towards music education in Malaysia. 

The festival programme is led by its Artistic Advisor, Joost Flach (Head of Wind Studies at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore), and chaired by its Director, Kenny Ooi (graduate of Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, Singapore). The artists lineup comprises internationally-renowned musicians and educators, as below:

The digital festival expects to welcome over 200 participants and observers for a fruitful musical experience. Registration is now open, with early bird and group discounts available until 21 March 2021. Registration for participants ends on 11 April 2021, while registration for observers ends on 31 May 2021. Penang, MY – The Rondo Production leads the 2021 season with Meet The Stars, an exclusive digital masterclass series featuring the Brass of Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in April 2021. The digital masterclass series aims to bring renowned musicians and groups across the world to share their insights with the community, and inspire music students with new ideas. 

The masterclass series will be held across four sessions on 3, 10, 17 and 24 April 2021 respectively, led by a different member of the Brass of Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra: Miroslav Petkov (trumpet), Martin Schippers (trombone), Perry Hoogendijk (euphonium and tuba), and Katy Woolley (French horn). Each session focuses on one of the brass instruments, in which selected advanced-level music students are given performance feedback and guidance. 

Registration deadline for participants and observers is 27 March 2021. Limited participant spaces are available on a first come, first served basis.
