22 JULY 2020
We would like to announce that we have reached the decision to cancel our remaining physical live events for season 2020. Based on the standard operating procedures (SOP) released for the creative industry, it is clear that we have to make this difficult move after considering the health and safety of our audiences, musicians and team since our programmes involve a substantial amount of community involvement and domestic and international travels.
As part of our mission to inspire and engage the community through musical excellence, we have recently launched a digital content platform – an online educational series titled Rondo Explore, where we will be bringing you videos and articles related to music education and repertoire stories. Come and join us in this fun musical exploration via https://therondoproduction.com.my/rondo-explore/
We would also like to take this opportunity to present the artists who were initially invited to perform or teach in our season 2020 physical live programmes. We are now engaging them virtually through online panel discussions, interviews and tutorials. As of date, we have produced four virtual panel discussions, 12 chit-chat sessions and 10 instrumental tutorials. You can view these contents and upgrade your musical knowledge and skills via https://www.facebook.com/therondoprod/videos/
We hope to resume our physical live events in January 2021. In the meantime, we wish to seek your kind understanding and patience while we finalize the programmes for season 2021. We shall make the announcement in December 2020. So stay connected with us for the latest updates.
Last but not least, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to you, our community, for supporting us in promoting high-quality music education in Malaysia. We look forward to seeing you soon.
Stay safe and stay healthy.

THE RONDO PRODUCTION

An initiative by Martin Schippers & Steven Verhelst, Song for Health is dedicated for all healthcare and public sector workers, also their families, at this difficult time. Due to the wide spread of the COVID-19 virus, many concerts and events have been cancelled or postponed as part of the safety measures for the community in the world. Many of us, musicians, are left sitting at home, practising, learning online and ultimately, bursting with creativity.
We, The Rondo Production, would like to invite wind instrumentalists from all walks of life in Malaysia, regardless of your profession, age, race and ethnic, to join us in this initiative together with the rest of the world. The recent Restricted Movement Order has certainly given us more time to practice, without any excuse. So, spend 10 minutes of your time in practicing and recording a video and send it to us!
Let’s connect each other with music and support the frontline workers by staying at home to practice! We also hope that, through this nationwide initiative, we are able to raise awareness of the importance of music for the community.
Please refer to this Google Form for detailed instructions & submit before 31 March 2020.
