Music is also about service. We serve the people who pay to watch our performances, as well as those who can’t afford to do so. That was one of the reasons I set up The Rondo Production: to bring music to everyone at an affordable rate. I hope we can inspire the younger generation and raise awareness on the importance of music education through our performances and education programmes.
The journey has been challenging, as music lessons are often deemed a privilege by many. But I believe that the awareness on the importance of music education has to come from everyone: ourselves and our community. I hope to contribute to changing the current situation where people often think that nothing can be done if their parents couldn’t send them for music lessons.
Having been through the difficulty of taking music lessons due to lack of resources, I want to bring music resources nearer to students in Malaysia, especially in my hometown, Penang. Through The Rondo Production, I hope to ignite stronger interest in learning and mastering an instrument among students, and provide music educators and graduates with a platform to exchange ideas and collaborate.
Hence, together with my team, we are working towards not only bringing in international artists but also introducing professional Malaysian musicians to the local community. We aim to put Penang on the world’s music map as one of the leading music education hubs in Asia. We hope to inspire the younger generations to see the possibilities in furthering their music study and career.
I warmly welcome you to join us and support our journey to bringing music to all.
