Queensland Conservatorium (QCGU) is one of Australia’s leading music and performing arts schools, ranked in the top 50 Performing Arts Universities in the world (QS World Rankings 2021). We offer specialist undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, from classical music, jazz, opera, popular music to musical theatre, acting, music technology and music education. Ranging from small chamber ensembles to symphony orchestras, big bands and full-scale stage productions, students are given performance opportunities which prepare them to perform at the highest level. QCGU is also home to the Queensland Conservatorium Research Centre. Our research projects involve collaborations with national and international partners, are imaginative in content and design, interdisciplinary in nature, and dedicated to addressing the pressing needs of our time. The innovations and outcomes of our research have a direct influence on the programs we offer, meaning students benefit from forward-thinking insights that inspire and shape the future direction of the arts.
