An exciting opportunity to hone your chamber music skills in the demanding environment.
This one-year fellowship programme prepares young chamber groups for careers that combine musical excellence with teaching, community engagement and advocacy. It offers diverse performance opportunities, first-class professional development and the chance to perform at regional festivals throughout the Fellowship.
Fellows will prepare chamber music works alongside mentoring artists, while receiving guidance in the form of private mentoring sessions and group discussions. Fellows will be supported by a comprehensive professional development curriculum designed to ensure that they have the skills necessary to succeed in all areas of the programme, and to provide them with the tools to chart a purposeful, personally rewarding career path that redefines the role of a musician in the 21st century.
Candidates from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. We particularly welcome applications from groups under-represented in classical music.

Frequently Asked Questions
If my chamber group is selected, will we coordinate the rehearsals ourselves?
You are encouraged to do so, as the selected group will be given a schedule of performances and mentoring sessions in advance, and will usually have a limited amount of time available at the venue(s) before the performances and sessions.
I don't have a chamber group, can I still apply?
Unfortunately, no. As the programme is primarily focused on the development of chamber music, we strongly encourage you to have an existing group with which you intend to apply.
Will there be a performance every month?
No, unless there is a change in the schedule, which will be communicated in advance.
Why is there a minimum age for applicants?
The programme may require the chamber group musicians to travel within Malaysia or even abroad, so it is not ideal for students who need a parent or guardian to accompany them.
I have more questions. Who should I go to?
