Woodwind Tapestry
Pianist Loo Jingyi is a soloist, chamber musician and dedicated teacher. After graduating from the Malaysian Institute of Arts with the prestigious Most Outstanding Student Award in 2012, she pursued her Bachelor’s Degree in Music at Tunghai University in Taiwan. Driven by her thirst for knowledge and artistic growth, Jingyi embarked on a journey to Paris to immerse herself in the rich traditions of solo piano and chamber music. Her mentors included Tan Lee Ean, Nina Patarcec, Jean-Louis Caillard and Armen Babhakhanian. She was awarded the silver medal at the 2019 Prix d’Europe international music competition. Jingyi also holds the prestigious FTCL (Fellowship of Trinity College London) in Piano Performance from Trinity College London. Currently, Jingyi serves as a piano tutor at the Malaysian Institute of Art while maintaining a nurturing home studio.
